Car sharing pilot project started in the commuter city of Düdingen
Nürnberg, June 8th, 2020 | With a car sharing pilot project, the Nuremberg-based mobility service provider Choice launched its first activities in Switzerland. Since the end of March 2020 all residents of the "düdingenplus" property in the commuter city of Düdingen have access to three car sharing vehicles from Volvo (XC40, XC60, V60).
Volvo Premium Car Sharing is a cooperation between Choice and Volvo Car Switzerland AG. Choice is responsible for providing the booking app, the back end of the car sharing system and advising all project participants. Further project partners are the “düdingenplus” property developer BernInvest AG and the call centre callExpert AG, which has already been a Volvo partner in Switzerland.
With Volvo Premium Car Sharing, the Swedish car manufacturer is responding to the increasing urbanization and its limited amount of parking space in the cities. Thanks to the offer, residents without their own car can still have an ecological and comfortable mobility solution. Property managers can utilize the offer from Volvo to expand their own services, solve parking problems and gain a competitive advantage in the market. Following the market launch of Volvo Premium Car Sharing in the "düdingenplus" development, further projects are in the works. Detailed information will be communicated in due course.
